Visiting Pittsburgh’s PPG Aquarium - Part I

by Nicholas Callas

In this article I will share with you some pictures I got when I recently visited Pittsburgh’s PPG Aquarium. This Aquarium is only about one year old facility.

Here is the main entrance to the Aquarium

Here is a waterfall/pond, before going into the main entrance. I couldn't get any good shots of the fish inside the pond. They were mainly local fish, Small mouth Bass and local Catfish.

Here is the first tank which was around a 20' high and 6' in diameter ( cylinder style). The fish where tiger barbs, monodactylus and some Shark-Tail Distichodus.

Here is a shot of a very well planted tank that had this over 12" Arawana in it.
