It was April 4, 1999 when MCH was actually born as a non-commercial
website dedicated to fish keeping cichlids from the African Rift
Lakes with a special interest for fishes from Lake Malawi. During
those 2 years, 2 months and 16 days we worked hard to make this
place a meeting point for Malawi cichlid afficionados. However,
although we were always in contact we had never met in person.
Several months ago, Frank told us about the 13th Belgian Cichlid
Show in Antwerp, Belgium. Could it be the chance we were looking for
? After many ups and downs it was evident that on June 22 we would
all be at Brussels airport for our first meeting with our better
halves and kids (optional extras). Yes, we made it. We spent the
whole weekend together, exchanged views on fish keeping, visited the
nice cichlid show, met some very interesting hobbyists there,
visited the main petshops, enjoyed Frank's hospitality and barbeque.
How did it feel ? Which were the moments that will stay in our
memory ? It felt right to allow each one of us to present his own
view with his photos and comments.
