| La Casa delle Farfalle. "The Butterfly House" by Francesco Zezza Can you imagine a generous 500 square meters green-house mimicking the "rain forest" to exist in Italy? Well not me … until I visited the "The Butterfly House" (In Milano Marittima, Ravenna in the North of Italy). It doesn’t replicate any "specific environment" – as clearly stated in the info you’re given before entering – but, instead hosts butterflies from Africa, South America and Asia! It is definitely a really interesting place to visit, especially for a rain forest enthusiast like me … The inside climate is "bad" 26/28oC with humidity levels never below 70% (something we tested in the Peruvian jungle, a few years ago) and you will find yourself wet within seconds: not that pleasant, I agree, but all the same I feel it’s worth visiting! Here we go, let’s get in:

But enough now; let’s look for some butterflies (I won’t dare to guess any scientific names, simply enjoy the pics!).
