Labrador retriever

When I think of Labradors, one word comes clearly to mind: "Reliable". There are many more that I will be mentioning further along. When I bought my first Labrador (which, gladly, I still have) six years ago, I couldn’t stop looking at her. I feel that these dogs are beautiful in all ways. I love their expressions, their kind features, their intelligent minds, and their happy souls. As time went by, having her became more and more fun. We used to play for hours with her ball, taking long walks on the beach, and swimming together. She is a very good friend, a "reliable" friend that I can count on to be there for me.

Going on holiday with her is even more fun. She plays with anyone who wants to play with her. She adores children, and she is very obedient. I'll never forget the holiday I spent in Anafi in a tent. Although she had been playing all day, at night she would sit outside of my tent and guard me. If I went out, she would stay put.

Another thing that I admire about Deka is her obedience. She follows me while on my bicycle, carefully avoiding the cars. Then, we come to a place where I ask her to sit and wait for me. I leave her there for 30 minutes and return to find her in the same place. Stray dogs could be around her, but that will not affect her.

I have a second Labrador female now, which I bought to keep her company. They have become the best of friends. With Labradors, you can have 10 together, and they will all be a nice big family. Wherever I go with my dogs, people admire their good nature. You can feel relaxed with them and almost always make new friends with them. They are... a little like myself... social, affectionate, loyal, and happy dogs. It is, I think, half way true that each person picks a dog that suits his character...
