Isidora, the Snake ...

Andreas Iliopoulos, Hermoupolis, Syros island, Greece

This is Isidora. She is a five and a half years old female Elaphe guttata guttata (Corn snake). She measures 127 cm. When she was donated to me from a local breeder she was only 16 cm. Cornsnakes are wide spread in America and some of her cousins (not far ones) of the same family (Elaphidae) live in our country as well. E. situlla, E. hippocrepis, E. longimanus etc. etc. and they are very common species in south eastern Europe.

By the way, I (George) had the pleasure of meeting Isidora last summer. A very beautiful and playful lady indeed !! Me and Johnny had a great time with her !
