Here
is a list of some Video tapes featuring Cichlids from Lake Malawi
1. AD
KONINGS "CICHLIDAE LIVE -
DIVING IN LAKE MALAWI" by CICHLID PRESS
Publications. Three video tapes that will take you
in the underwater world of Lake Malawi and show you more that you
would see even if you were actually there. You will see and
understand why each species behaves as it does, how it feeds, how it
spawns. The tape is narrated so you will also know which species is
the one you see on your TV. Cichlids parade in front of your eyes
showing you their everyday lives, habits and needs. Ad Konings is a
skilfull diver and he knows the Lake very well, so this set of video
tapes is as "complete" as it can be. I will add that there
is a great difference between reading that "this species
defends a huge pit on the sand" or "this is a schooling
fish" and actually seeing these things happening. The amount of
information you gain is really much more. Duration: ranges; up to 50
minutes.
2.
CRLCA "THE
MALAWI CICHLID SAFARI" by
the CANADIAN RIFT LAKE CICHLID ASSOCIATION. Glenn
Marshall, President of the CRCLA was kind enough to send me this
video tape which was actually filmed in Lake Malawi during CRLCA's
safari to the Lake in October 1999. This
tape shows you more cichlids and their habits and great ideas to
decorate your tanks. Complementary to the set mentioned above. Also
includes an interview with Stuart Grant. Duration: 61 minutes.
