Keeping Fossorochromis rostratus; a pictorial
guide - part II
by Francesco Zezza
After having complimented George for the excellent job
done (growing the kid to 30 cm/one foot at arrival) and after having
accommodated the fish in my biggest tank (the "usual" 750 lt), I finally
settled down and begun to wait for their spawn. Then one day: MANY MORE
MONTHS LATER, AT LAST …

Regrettably, I’ve never been lucky "enough"!!! The
female didn’t finish her job and swallowed the "cargo". After this spawn,
which occurred in October 2002, I haven’t been given any further chance by
the pair …
Let’s now – just for fun! - finish the story with
"easier" things:

(spawning) of the story took place.
This article by no means represents an "absolute truth"
or alike. It is, rather and to a simpler extent, a "pictorial story" to
share the excitement that comes for a true hobbyist when dealing with such
fishes and their "not so easy to respect" needs with you all! ENJOY, the
way I enjoyed, and still enjoy, those fishes!
