NIMBOCHROMIS VENUSTUS IV

NIMBOCHROMIS VENUSTUS (male; November 2000)

This is a photo of the male with a wound on its side. The wound was caused by Cyrtocara moorii during their usual fights for the hyperdominance in the tank. The wound healed normally after a couple of weeks. A mild antibacterial agent was added in the tank to avoid secondary infections - something very common with open wounds.
