Three
month old Nimbochromis venustus coexist in peace with 2,5 months old
Cyrtocara moorii fry in this 100 liter, algae rich tank. However,
peace and harmony will soon come to an end. The N.venustus fry grow
much quicker and will soon attack the C.moorii fry. Furthermore, the
N.venustus fry are known for their cannibalism towards their less
developed brothers and sisters. If raising them is you aim then you
need to be very careful and keep an eye on such a tank. Always
remove the less developed venustus and do not keep the moorii in the
same tank after the venustus is 4 cm long. Feeding at regular
intervals (at least four times daily) may keep thing under control
for a little longer. However, this may result in starvation of the
moorii.
