Brachydanio rerio (zebra danio)  

 A beautiful little fellow which will add to almost any setup. An active fish with a strong temperament, always on the move. This, along with the fact that it usually swims in the upper part of the water column has made it very suitable as a dither fish - for shy fishes. The addition of 1-2 of them in any cichlid tank will create the feeling of safety for its tankmates which will spend more time in the open. The females are larger than the males and the species is known for its strong pair bonds. Feeding is no problem for this fish. Food which stays on the surface or sinks slowly is particularly suitable for it. It will grow to 6-7 cm.
