Pseudacanthicus cf. leopardus L 114 - part II

(common name : Leopard Acanthicus; Leopard pleco)

 

One of the two L114 has grown considerably larger than the other one, reaching a size of 18 cm (gained at least 3 cm during the last 4 months). Quite territorial and aggressive it won't hesitate to fight for its favorite spot with other catfishes - most notably the equally sized Scobiancistrus aureatus with which we have seen it in a "jaw lock" position quite often. Most of the times it is the S. aureatus which will give in.
