This is a new section
which will be the home of some "fishy" professionals - but
not all of them. These are people who know what they are doing,
people who care about their fish, people that can help you. You can
tell the "right" professional almost immediately. He knows
that Cyrtocara venustus doesn't exist as a scientific name
any more. He will never say "Sciaenochromis ahli"
while pointing to a "Sciaenochromis fryeri". He
knows what cycling the tank means. He knows how to treat and when to
treat his livestock. He talks about his fish proudly. Finally, and
most important, he will say "I don't know" when he simply
doesn't know.
Any
petshop not fulfilling these criteria is automatically excluded from
this section. Needless to say, this section will grow very little in
time, for two reasons: a) it takes too much time to take pictures of
the shop, choose the ones that show the atmosphere and write the few
words that will reflect the MCH
author's feelings about it and b) MCH
authors are choosy,
very choosy - especially when it comes to fish.
I would like to
remind you of the policy of this site which is not to be sponsored
by anybody. Therefore, all comments in this section reflect the true
feelings of the authors and are not biased - by any means. Those
people are simply the best, in their own sections. The
following professionals have made it to these pages. Click on the
name of the shop to visit the relevant page(s).
